
April Rain Dance Academy Policies
Welcome to April Rain Dance Academy! To ensure that all students have a positive, safe, and productive learning experience at our school, please adhere to the following policies. Thank you for your cooperation and support!


1. Registration & Fees
Registration Fee
-
New youth students: $55
-
Returning students (enrolled through May of the previous school year): $30
-
Adult students: No registration fee
Note: The registration fee covers administrative costs such as student records, system maintenance, and welcome materials. This fee is non-refundable. Students who withdraw mid-year are not eligible for the returning student discount.
2. Annual Recital
Recital Participation Fee
-
$60 per student, due at registration
-
Covers stage setup, lighting, props, and production materials
All students, except those enrolled only in Flexibility or Leap & Turn, are expected to participate in the annual recital.
This fee is non-refundable and required even if the student cannot perform.
Costume Fee
-
Typically ranges from $50–$100, depending on choreography and class needs
-
Duet and solo costumes may be higher in cost, but we aim to keep pricing reasonable
-
All costume fees are collected in the first week of December
3. Competition Team Fees
Team Jacket
-
Required for all competition students
-
$40, due at registration
-
Used for warm-up and representing the school
Mid-Year Withdrawal
-
All competition-related payments are non-refundable
-
Fees cannot be returned if a student withdraws during the competition season
-
A $200 withdrawal fee will be charged for mid-semester cancellations.
4. Auto-Pay Program
Tuition Discount
-
Families enrolled in auto-pay are eligible for a tuition discount
-
Discount applies only if the student attends for the full semester
-
If a student withdraws mid-semester, the full regular tuition rate will apply.
Cancellation
-
To cancel auto-pay, submit a written notice at least 30 days in advance
5. Tuition & Payment Policy
-
Monthly tuition must be paid by the 7th of each month
-
Late payments will incur a $10 late fee
6. Class Scheduling & Holidays
-
Class schedules are announced in advance
-
The school reserves the right to make adjustments due to holidays, teacher absences, or unforeseen events
-
In the event of emergency closures (e.g. weather), families will be notified via phone or email
-
Classes canceled due to weather will not be rescheduled
7. Absence & Make-Up Policy
Absence Notification
-
Absences must be reported at least 24 hours in advance
-
In emergencies, notify the school as soon as possible

Make-Up Classes

Make-up classes are available within 30 days of the missed class

Students may join another class of a similar level

Advance coordination with the school is required. If no notice is given, the absence is not eligible for make-up

Make-up classes are free but must be approved via a written request
Extended Absence
-
Absences longer than 2 weeks are considered extended leave
-
Families must provide a reason and return date
-
Make-up classes may be scheduled within 2 months
Medical Leave
-
A doctor’s note or medical document is required
-
Unless due to a serious health condition, standard absence policies apply
-
Please notify the school when the student is ready to return
8. Private Lessons
Booking & Fees
-
Book private lessons through the front desk or directly with instructors
-
Fees vary based on instructor experience, lesson length, and content
-
A registration fee is required if the student is enrolled in private lessons only
Cancellation & Rescheduling
-
Notify at least 24 hours in advance to avoid fees
-
Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice incur a 50% charge
-
If the lesson is canceled by the instructor or school, a make-up or partial refund will be arranged
Original Choreography
-
Students requesting original choreography will be charged an additional choreography fee
-
Rates vary depending on complexity and will be discussed at booking
Attendance & Expectations
-
If a student is more than 15 minutes late, the session will end at the original time without extension
-
Students must be prepared with any required attire or equipment
9. Student Conduct
-
Students must arrive on time and treat teachers, peers, and facilities with respect
-
Minor infractions will receive a verbal warning
-
Serious or repeated violations may result in temporary or permanent removal from the program, at the discretion of school leadership
10. Health & Safety
-
Health and allergy information must be declared upon registration
-
Parents must provide accurate emergency contact information
-
In case of emergency, staff is authorized to seek appropriate medical assistance
-
All incidents will be recorded and handled per safety protocol
-
The school is not liable for injuries occurring during dance or acrobatic activities
-
Families are responsible for arranging their own medical insurance
11. Personal Belongings
-
April Rain Dance Academy is not responsible for lost or damaged personal items
-
Please label all belongings clearly with the student’s name
12. Performances & Competitions
-
All regular class students are expected to participate in at least one recital per year
-
Performances are part of the learning process
-
Competition team members must participate in at least two competitions annually
-
All related fees will be shared in advance
13. Facility Use
-
Students must follow all facility rules and keep spaces clean and organized
-
Any damage caused will be the responsibility of the student or guardian
-
Regular safety checks are conducted to ensure a secure environment
14. Off-Campus Activities
-
All off-site events require parent/guardian supervision
-
Details and any associated fees will be provided in advance
15. Class Adjustments & Cancellations
-
The school may adjust or cancel classes due to unforeseen circumstances
-
If canceled by the school, a make-up class or refund will be offered
-
If a student cancels a class, at least 1 month’s written notice is required
-
Otherwise, 50% of the monthly fee will be charged
-
16. Communication & Updates
-
School policies may be updated periodically
-
Updates will be announced via the website and other communication channels
-

17. Media & Image Use

By enrolling, parents/guardians grant permission for the use of student photos and videos in school promotional materials (e.g. website, social media)

If you prefer not to have your child featured, please submit a written request at registration
18. Risk Acknowledgment & Liability
-
Dance and acrobatics involve physical movement and carry an inherent risk of injury
-
By enrolling, families acknowledge and accept these risks
-
The school is not responsible for any injuries during classes, performances, or related activities
-
Parents/guardians are encouraged to secure adequate health insurance for their child

一、注册与费用
1. 注册费

青少年课程首次注册:$55

连续返校学生(上一学年持续上课至5月):$30

成人课程:免注册费
说明:注册费用于学生档案建立、注册系统维护和欢迎资料准备等行政支出。注册费一经缴纳,恕不退还。若学生在学年中中途停课,则不符合“连续返校生”资格,无法享受折扣。
二、年度汇演(Recital)
1. 演出费
-
每位学生:$60(注册时收取)
-
费用用于演出所需的场地布置、灯光、道具与制作材料等
说明:除 Flexibility 和 Leap & Turn 技术课程外,所有课程学生均需参与年度汇演。即使因个人原因未能登台,演出费用仍需缴纳,无法退还或转让。
2. 演出服装费
-
费用范围通常在 $50–$100,视课程及编舞需求而定
-
Duet 和 Solo 类别服装成本可能略高,我们将尽量控制在合理范围内
-
所有服装费用将于每年12月第一周统一收取
三、竞赛班相关费用
1. 制服与外套
-
所有竞赛班学生需购买指定外套:$40(注册时缴纳)
-
外套用于比赛热身及日常穿着,体现团队形象
2. 中途退出
-
竞赛相关费用缴纳后不予退还
-
若学生在赛季中退出,无法退还已缴比赛费用
-
中途退出收取$200违约费
四、自动付款计划
1. 学费优惠
选择自动付款(Auto-Pay)的家庭可享受学费折扣。优惠适用于整学期持续就读。若学生中途退出,则按照原价支付。
2. 取消自动付款
如需取消自动付款,请至少提前30天提交书面通知。
五、学费付款政策

每月学费需在每月7日前缴清
-
逾期未付款将产生 $10 延迟费用
六、课程安排与假期说明
-
课程安排将提前通知,请家长和学生留意更新信息
-
学校保留因节假日、教师请假或其他特殊情况进行课程调整的权利
-
如因天气等不可抗力因素临时停课,我们将通过电话或电子邮件及时通知。天气原因停课将不予补课
七、请假与补课政策
1. 请假通知
-
请假需提前至少24小时通知学校
-
如遇紧急情况,请尽快与我们联系
请假方式:

提交填写完整的请假申请表
2. 补课安排
-
可在请假后的30天内参加同等级别课程进行补课
-
所有补课安排需提前与学校协调,未提前报备者将视为缺课,不安排补课
-
补课不收取额外费用,须在规定时间内完成并提交书面申请
3. 长期请假
-
连续缺课超过两周视为长期请假
-
请提供缺席原因和预计返校时间,可申请在两个月内完成补课
4. 医疗请假
-
医疗请假需提供医生证明
-
除重大健康状况外,仍需遵守常规请假程序。如有特殊情况,可与校方协商安排
八、私人课程说明
1. 预约与费用
-
私人课程须提前与学校办公室或指定教师预约
-
费用根据课程内容、时长及教师经验不同而异
-
若学生仅报读私人课程,需缴纳注册费
2. 取消与调整
-
取消或调整课程请提前24小时通知,否则将收取课程费用的50%作为取消费用
-
因教师或学校原因取消的课程,将安排补课或提供部分退款
3. 原创编舞
-
如学生希望在私人课程中加入原创编舞,需另行缴纳编舞费用
-
费用依据编舞长度与复杂程度评估,并在预约时说明
4. 出勤与要求
-
迟到超过15分钟将不补时
-
学生需遵守教师要求,准备好所需用品及服装
九、行为规范
-
学生需准时上课,尊重教师、同学及校园环境
-
若出现不当行为,学校将视情况给予口头提醒或正式纪律处分
-
严重违纪者可能面临暂停或终止课程资格,校方将通知家长
十、健康与安全
-
所有学生须在注册前如实申报健康状况及过敏信息
-
家长需提供紧急联系人信息,并授权学校在必要时进行医疗处理
-
学校将记录并妥善处理所有事故,但无法为课程期间产生的意外伤害承担法律责任
-
建议家长为学生安排适当的医疗保险
十一、个人物品管理
-
请避免携带贵重物品至学校
-
所有物品建议标注学生姓名,以方便辨识
-
学校对遗失或损坏的物品不承担责任
十二、课程表现与演出
-
所有普通课程学生每年须参与至少一次校内汇演,演出为课程的一部分
-
竞赛班学生每年需参加至少两场比赛,报名费及相关费用将提前通知家长
十三、设施使用
-
请爱护学校设施,使用后归还原处并保持清洁
-
如有损坏,将视情况要求赔偿
-
学校将定期进行设施安全检查,请学生注意安全使用
十四、校外活动
-
所有校外活动需由家长陪同参与
-
活动通知及相关费用将提前说明
十五、课程取消与调整
-
若因学校原因取消课程,将安排补课或提供退款
-
若学生因个人原因取消课程,需提前至少1个月书面通知,否则将收取课程费用50%作为取消费用
十六、信息更新与沟通
-
校规将定期更新,并通过官网及其他通知渠道公告

十七、肖像权说明
-
学校有权使用学生在校期间拍摄的照片、视频等用于教学展示或宣传用途(如官网、社交媒体等)
-
如家长希望不公开使用,请在注册时提交书面声明
十八、风险声明与责任
-
舞蹈和杂技类课程为身体活动课程,存在一定的受伤风险
-
学生注册即表示理解并接受此类风险,家长应为学生提供适当的医疗保险
-
学校对活动中发生的任何意外伤害不承担法律责任
